Beschreibung
On April 20th 1992, 72,000 fans gathered at London’s Wembley Stadium to celebrate the life of Freddie Mercury and to raise funds for The Mercury Phoenix Trust Twenty-one years later, Queen Tribute Concerts around the world continue to raise the AIDS awareness and to cherish Freddie Mercury’s memory and hits. This year on March 27th, Bulgaria will kindly open its doors to Freddie’s fans all over Europe for a Queen Tribute Concert. The event is inspired by Freddie Mercury’s 65th Birthday anniversary and 40th anniversary of the formation of Queen. The concert will take place in Sofia, at The National Palace of Culture, Hall 3 at 8pm.
The Queen Tribute Concert in Bulgaria will be the first one in the country to touch the Bulgarian fans of the band Queen. Bulgarians will unite with neighbours from other European countries to celebrate the music of Queen, the life of Freddie, and to bring any profits to Mercury Phoenix Trust. Similar to Queen’s Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992, the Bulgarian format will include hits like ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Under Pressure’, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, "We Are The Champions’, "Tie Your Mother Down', 'One Vision'. The solid playlist consists of 25 songs that will be played by a group of musicians, and performed by 6+ lead vocals, and enriched by a classical strings orchestra. In their efforts be authentic and true to the fans of Queen, the Bulgarian musicians will perform song arrangements based on the concert-versions of the songs, mostly from Wembley 1986 and Milton Keynes 1982 concerts, carrying that fast lively tempo.
The Tribute Concert will be led by some of the most talented Bulgarian musicians. Jordan Karadjov of the rock-band "Signal", who is one of the most legendary rock singers in Bulgaria, is one of the lead vocals. He is currently one of the coaches in the TV format "The Voice" in the country. Other singers who will rock on the stage are Teo Koichinov, runner-up of Music Idol 1, Dragomir Dragiev- participant in Music Idol 3, Rene Ranev, an Eurovisia contenstant, and Valentina Alexandrova, a contestant in Star Academy. The talented musicians from LMCM Band and Orchestra, conducted by Levon Manukyan, will accompany the singers.
The Queen Tribute Concert in Bulgaria is organized by More-Honors Entertainment Ltd. All profits from the concert are already pledged to the cause of the Mercury Phoenix Trust. On March 27th 2013, the Bulgarian fans of Queen will enjoy the first large concert to honor Freddie Mercury and Queen in the country.
