BREAK FREE WITH ROOFTOP QUEEN CINE-GIG NEAR LONDON FIELDS:

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - June 11th, 2013 - Fans of Freddie Mercury are being invited to break free and experience all kinds of magic at the inaugural Cine-Gigs event organised by Ù. The concert-style evening screening of the legendary Queen Live at Wembley - from the band's ground-breaking Magic Tour of 1986 - takes place at 9pm on Saturday 22nd June on the roof of Netil House near London Fields in East London.

Projected on a giant screen on a roof-top venue with unrivalled 360-degree panoramic views of London, Mercury will belt out hit after hit from Queen's unforgettable back-to-back Wembley gigs - including fan favourites A Kind Of Magic, Under Pressure, Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio Ga Ga and We Will Rock You. Guests are encouraged to dress up as Mercury in what is the opening night of a series of Cine-Gigs that look to combine the very best in film and music with memorable concerts brought alive on the big screen.

Rooftop Film Club has a comprehensive programme of open-air roof-top film screenings throughout the summer at three contrasting London locations: the Queen of Hoxton pub, the Kensington Roof Gardens and the Bussey Building in Peckham. Film lovers coming from outside London to attend any of these film screenings can book their accommodation on LondonTown.com where there's a huge selection of Cheap Hotels in London to suit all tastes and locations.

Queen Live at Wembley shows one of the most exciting bands in the history of live entertainment at the pinnacle of their powers, performing over two consecutive July nights to sell-out 70,000-capacity crowds at Wembley. The driving rain of Friday night's opening gig failed to dampen the mood while Saturday's sunny set showcased everything that made Queen so brilliant. Together, the concerts are widely acknowledged as two of the most incredible rock events ever staged - "a timeless display of good-time rock'n'roll" (The Guardian).

The Wembley gigs were to be Queen's biggest stage, their biggest lighting rig, the biggest screen that not only the band had performed with - but that Wembley had ever seen. It was also going to be almost the last time Queen played together: the follow-up concert in Knebworth Park would prove to be Freddie Mercury's last as front man before his illness, deterioration and death. Mercury fittingly wore a crown as he came on stage at Wembley - and even in his absence, the ruler of rock's reign still runs.

During the screening at Netil House, the roof-top bar and kitchen will be in full flow to attend to the needs of all gig-goers - but seating will be limited with the organisers trying to recreate the feel of Queen's Wembley gigs. Netil House is no stranger to cinematic events - last year the creative hub also hosted the Hot Tub Cinema, which this summer takes its appealing combination of warm water, swimming costumes and cinema to the roof of Rockwell House in Shoreditch.

Rooftop Film Club and Hot Tub cinema are among numerous open-air movie events taking place throughout the summer in London. Other events in parks and open spaces in every corner of the capital include Nomad Cinema, Luna Cinema, Pop Up Screens and the Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House. For more information on all of London's open-air movie events please see LondonTown.com's special London Outdoor Film Screenings feature.
